OK, I’ve really been wanting to watch “Enchanted” since I’ve saw Amy Adams perform at the Academy Awards. So, as luck would have it, on Saturday night, Todd and I were able to rent it from our favorite redbox. What were we thinking? Hmm . . . bad movie clue: A just-released movie is available to rent at 7:30 on Saturday night.
Anyway, the (one) loyal reader of this blog will know that even though Todd and I start off by watching a movie together, he’s never awake to finish watching it with me. His review: Through the mess of drool, I clearly discerned a Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
OK, my turn. Have you ever been watching a movie, and really been enjoying it for the most part, and then you get to a scene where the movie just makes a wrong turn and never gets back on track? Yeah, that pretty much sums up my experience with this movie. I was grooving along to the songs and the sappy dialogue, and then the movie just “jumped the shark”. You know, it’s that part in the movie when you just shake your hand in astonishment because you can’t believe you have just wasted so much of your time. And, that one scene just TOTALLY ruins the entire movie for you. In this case, that part for me was when the wicked queen turned into a talking dragon. Are you serious?!? WTF!!!!!
Oh, bad movie clue #2: The movie contains a talking chipmunk.
My review: With a healthy dose of generosity, I give this movie an F+. Even McDreamy can’t save it.
The beast has finally woken up! Wiping the drool away, he grunts, “That was horrible.”
Redbox never has the movies I want
