It’s Official . . .

Our adorable kitten has a new name . . . Mr. Teddi Bear Fox.

Todd finally caved in to the name “Teddi”. He had been trying desperately to use the names “Stinson”, “Buddy”, and “Indy”, but stronger wills prevailed.

As soon as Todd stops playing Wii, an updated picture of Teddi might just appear. However, someone is having just way too much fun with his numchuk . . .

Looks can be deceiving . . .

OK, yesterday I wrote about how our newly adopted kitten, Teddy, weighed in at 4 pounds, seven ounces. Well, it turns out that the little tyke only weighs 1 pound, 7 ounces.  My sister’s family, who adopted Teddy’s brother, took their cat to the vet today where he got weighed. Their cat, Mickey, weighs in at 1 pound, 8 ounces. Mickey was able to undergo a delicate procedure yesterday, but Teddy wasn’t able to. Teddy has to wait 4 to 6 weeks for his special operation.

I’m sure he can hardly wait . . .

The Name Game

As usual, Todd and I are having some problems picking out a name for our new bundle of joy. The folks at the shelter named him “Teddi”, but we both kind of agree that he needs a new name.

Todd thinks “Garmin”, “Rivet”, and “Datum” are cool names.
I think “Sundance” or “Teddi Bear” are cool names.

Todd did make the suggestion of “Indy” in honor of Indiana Jones. That’s the only one of his many suggestions that I think might actually work. Hopefully by this week-end we will have our new kitten’s name narrowed down to at least three choices!

Introducing . . .

We have a brand new addition to our family! Weighing in at 4 pounds, 7 ounces, here comes . . . well, we haven’t decided on a name yet!

We adopted him from the Naperville Humane Society yesterday, and we already love him to pieces!!!!!!

As Martha would say, it’s a good thing . . .

This week-end, Todd and I decided to get domestic. We awhich there attempting to paint our downstairs bathroom. Yes, gone are the days of boring white haphazardly spray-painted on by the builders five and a half years ago.

If we don’t kill each other first, by Sunday night we should be looking at our first completed home project.

Photos and updates to come . . .

Read!

With the start of Spring Break, I now have the time to start catching up on some novels that I have wanted to read for awhile. I’m in the middle of reading Life as We Knew It, and I can honestly say that this book is depressing the hell out of me! A story of a teen-age girl’s survival after an asteroid hits the moon, the book presents a look at a world falling apart, without heat, adequate supplies of food, etc.  I’m only halfway through it, but it seems so depressing and sad I’m not in too much of a rush to finish it!

The other book, Touching Spirit Bear, is not so much depressing as it is gross!  This is a story about a boy’s survival on a remote island.  The descriptions of how he struggles to survive after a vicious bear attack are just plain disturbing.  Yuck!!!

And Todd wonders why I buy the newest issue of UsWeekly every Friday . . .

Snow bunnies!!!!!

Yes, it is Good Friday here in Chicago, but you wouldn’t think it if you were looking out the window. Weather forecasters are predicting anywhere from five to eight inches of snow for Friday and Saturday.

All the snow is going to make those Easter egg hunts a little more difficult now, don’t you think?

Who you working for?

So, in the second installment of my popular series in which I review “Lost” episodes, I will give tonight’s episode a B-. Until about halfway through the show, I was confused: was I watching a Michael “flashback” or “flashforward”? The “whoosh” should have alerted me to the fact that it was a flashback, but it didn’t make sense; immediately after they left the island the first time, Michael and Walt make it to the mainland on the tiny piece of crap boat they left on?

Other questions: I understand why Michael wanted to kill himself, but why wouldn’t “the island let him”? Didn’t that fat guy that was talking to Michael get killed on the island? The island gets to pick and choose who lives and dies????

I don’t think Ben will be nominated for “Father of the Year” anytime soon. By now though, everyone should be pretty wary when Ben speaks. He’s told so many lies, I can’t keep them straight.

Previews for upcoming episodes look good!!! I can’t believe I have to wait until April 24th though!!!

I’m not too worried; “The Office” returns on NBC next week, so I’m all set.

Get “Lost”!

I rate this week’s episode a solid B.

Did it really come as a surprise to anyone that Michael was Ben’s spy on the freighter? I’m trying really hard to like Juliet, but it’s pretty difficult. I dislike her even more now since she ratted out Sun to Jin. What a way to try to gain someone’s trust! I was kind of wondering when we would find out more about Sun and Jin.

Claire’s turn shoud be coming up soon.  I don’t think I really need to know anything more about Kate though.  Her backstories/flashforwards are so boring!!!!

Daylight Savings

Don’t forget to Spring Forward this morning!
